Operation One Family

Operation One Family is a unique weekend of bonding, life skills workshops, information, inspiration, and good old fashioned fun. Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, California is hosting the families in dorm units with private bathrooms, and providing the meeting venues on campus. The schedule of events is as follows:

Friday, August 1st: Afternoon arrivals, settle into rooms, Get Acquainted BBQ, Bonding exercises, Ice Cream Social and fun group activities.

Saturday, August 2nd: Age appropriate workshops for children and adults including scrapbooking, resume writing, journaling, financial planning information, job interviewing skills. Adult supervision will be provided at all times for the children, as well as certified care givers for day care for the younger ones, so the parents can enjoy their program worry free. During lunch the Share Faire will provide resources and support organizations in an expo setting.

Saturday, August 2nd: Walk across the street from the campus and enjoy the Orange County Fair, returning at your leisure.

Sunday, August 3rd: Enjoy Sunday Brunch with your new friends and enjoy inspirational speakers, fun activities, and closing ceremonies and prepare to return home.

Sunday, August 3rd: Spend the afternoon at Knott's Berry Farm with your new friends (tickets valid for one year if you prefer to return home and visit another day)
